Description: This poster was designed to introduce the concept of the Perioperative Resource Nurse as a way to encourage a multidisciplinary approach to encourage experienced nurses to contribute to sustaining their participation in perioperative nursing. Multiple new roles are reviewed to expand the many little things that will promote and develop these roles from an in-house, remote, development, advisory, nursing education, and community perspective. This resulted from a study on the shortage of perioperative nurses that led to an AORN Task Force for two years. The poster is most relevant today.
