Anita is a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience, including more than two decades in perioperative nursing. She began her career in a cardiac step-down unit before transitioning to the intraoperative setting, where she developed a strong passion for surgical nursing. Her professional experience spans multiple healthcare systems across Cleveland, Erie, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and New Orleans.
Anita holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kent State University and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University. She currently serves as a perioperative nurse educator at the Cleveland Clinic and has spent the past five years supporting professional development in this role. In addition, she is an adjunct faculty member at Bryant & Stratton College of Nursing, where she instructs students in skills labs and clinical settings.
In March 2024, Anita presented at the Association of Perioperative Nurses Conference in Nashville, delivering a session titled “Laparoscopic Invasive Surgery: Teaching Perioperative Nurses Beyond the Minimum.” In 2025, she further contributed to perioperative education by developing simulation-based training and instructional materials focused on chemical spill management for Cleveland Clinic perioperative teams. She resides in Cleveland, Ohio, with her husband, children, and two dogs.
