Helen Pascua, RN, BSN, CNOR, CRNFA is currently full time RN First Assist at Adventist Health Lodi Memorial Hospital in Lodi, California. She has 30 plus years of nursing experience with 29 of those years being peri-operative. Her perioperative background ranges from staff roles of circulator and first assist. She has been an advocate for patient safety and had given presentations on Malignant Hyperthermia, patient positioning, and fire safety at her facility’s department meetings. She also participated in 2020 Adventist Health Nursing Symposium: Year of the Nurse Virtual Poster Presentation with a topic of Fire Risk Assessment Included in Surgical Time Out. She has maintained her CNOR since 2006 and had received a Board-Certified Nurses Recognition from Lodi Memorial Hospital Chief Nursing Officer in May 2019. She has earned certification as Certified RN First Assist last April 2021 from NASC and currently volunteering with NASC as RNFA Certification Portfolio Evaluator since 2021. Helen is a currently a member of AORN and ANA. She had been a member of WOCN society in the past. She has participated on volunteer committee with CCI such as CNOR item writing or educational product development (2019) and CNOR test development (2020). With AORN, she had volunteered as AORN Expo Ambassador year 2024 and 2025. She currently serves the AORN Central Valley as a President and had been a Board Member in the past.
