Ashley L. Anderson, MSN‑Ed, RN, NPD‑BC, CNOR is a Nursing Professional Development Specialist with more than a decade of perioperative experience. She launched her nursing career in 2010 in the Operating Room after graduating from Johns Hopkinds University School of Nursing and quickly stepped into leadership roles including charge nurse, neurosurgery surgery coordinator, and education manager.
Along the way, Ashley earned her CNOR in 2015, her Master of Science in Nursing Education in 2020 from Western Governors University, followed by her board certification in Nursing Professional Development. For the past eight years, Ashley has been at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and now serves as the Nursing Professional Development Specialist for the Operating Room. She takes joy in support nursing transition to practice programs and specializes in onboarding new graduate nurses, tansition RN Fellows, and internal transfer RNs into perioperative practice as well as being a CCI CNOR Coach to her collagues.
Passionate about elevating nursing practice and educational oppurtunites, Ashley designs innovative, evidence‑based learning experiences that foster on-going growth and professional development. She is especially driven by developing high‑impact education that strengthens team performance and prepares clinicians for low‑volume, high‑severity perioperative events.
While she is not at work, Ashley enjoys spending time going on adventures with her husband, 6 year old son, and their two cats. She also loves traveling the world and is known for seeking out perioperative-related sites to visit on vacation so she can share her "fun facts" when she returns to work.
