Katherine Potter, RN, BSN, Graduate of the Perioperative 101 Class Spring '25, CVI OR Perioperative Nurse at Beth Israel Deconess Medical Center. Katherine graduated from Sacred Heart University with her bachelors of science in Nursing in 2019. During her senior preceptorship, she worked in an outpatient orthopedic OR in New Jersey for three months where she fostered her interest in perioperatative nursing. She then went to work as a Cardiac Stepdown/ Telemetry nurse at Morristown Medical Center for two years as a new graduate nurse. She then became a Telemetry and Intermediate Care travel nurse in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada as well as in Long Beach, California over the span of two years. Finishing her bout of travel nursing, Katherine became a staff nurse on a Medical Surgical floor at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where she also performed as charge nurse and preceptor to new graduate nurses. Katherine then decided in May of 2025 to transfer to the OR through the Transition to Perioperative Nursing Practice Program where she became a member of the Cardiac, Vascular, and Interventional Pulmonology Operating room team.
