Jennifer Parrott is the Administrative Director of the Knoxville Orthopaedic Surgery Center (KOSC) in Knoxville, Tennessee. She has been with KOSC for nearly 10 years, beginning her career as an Operating Room Circulator. As her leadership responsibilities grew, Jennifer played a key role in the development, implementation, and oversight of KOSC’s successful Total Joint Program, serving as the Total Joint Manager. She has also previously served as Quality Improvement Manager, Sterile Processing Manager, and Clinical Educator.
Jennifer has been a nurse for over 19 years, with 15 years dedicated to the surgical setting. She is deeply passionate about perioperative nursing, quality improvement, patient safety, and operational excellence. Jennifer is actively involved in several professional organizations, including TASCA, TSPAN, OrthoForum, and, of course, AORN. She is a dedicated member of AORN and currently serves as President of the AORN East Tennessee Chapter 4301.
In addition to her clinical and administrative leadership, Jennifer serves on the Program Advisory Committees for the Surgical Technology programs at TCAT and Roane State, supporting curriculum development and workforce readiness for future surgical technologists.
Jennifer has collaborated with Outpatient Surgery Magazine on multiple articles and has authored several publications herself.
Born and raised in Tennessee, Jennifer is the mother of two sons, ages 17 and 22. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering with her local Habitat for Humanity, traveling, gardening, and reading.
