Renee Galvan is a native of southern California. She earned her BA degree in microbiology from the University of California Santa Barbara before attending nursing school. With over 25 years of experience, she has worked at SCA Health for over 10 years, serving as a Preop/PACU nurse, Director of Nursing, Nurse Administrator, and Regional Director. In her current role as a Clinical Education Director, Renee created and leads SCA Health’s Preop/PACU Nurse Development Program. She has partnered with the American Society of Perianesthesia (ASPAN) to advance the unique specialty of perianesthesia nursing. Renee is passionate about education, nurse empowerment, and patient safety.
