Laurie M Burns, MSN RN CNOR RNFA CIRT is currently the Clinical Nurse Educator for Surgical Services at Lankenau Medical Center of Main Line Health Services, Wynnewood, PA. Laurie earned her Bachelor and Master of Nursing Science degrees from Gwynedd Mercy University (2012, 2018) and her RNFA from Delaware County Community College (2012) from Dr. Jane Rothrock’s program. Laurie has been a surgical nurse for 39 years and is still clinically active and responsive to the OR staffing level needs. She has a passion for surgical nursing, patient care and supporting nurses by creating safe places to learn, succeed, and grow. She is active in the Critical Incident Response Team, a team of employees who respond to support peers throughout the hospital system when critical incidents impact an employee’s performance.
