Margaret Gilman, MAS, CIC, FAPIC is the Director of Infection Prevention at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware. She has over thirteen years’ experience as an Infection Preventionist and has been certified in infection control since 2014. She is a 2008 graduate of Hanover College with a bachelor’s degree in biology and philosophy. She is a 2021 graduate of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a master’s degree in healthcare quality and patient safety. She is a member of the 2022 Class of APIC Fellows. She has been elected to Chapter 15 Delaware Valley and Philadelphia’s Board of Director on three different occasions, serving as Chair of Awards and Nominating, Director of Education, and Chapter President. She is currently a member of Chapter 15’s Professional Development Committee. She sits on the APIC Health Equity Committee and currently serves as a clinical editor for the APIC Text. She has co-authored several peer-reviewed manuscripts in addition to delivering several national conference presentations. She is an active member of the Upper Merion Mom’s Club, the King of Prussia Soccer Club, and the Upper Merion Baseball Association, enjoys reading, and watching movies with her family.
