CRNA - Advanced Practice Provider Lead Educator Dept of Anesthesia
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
Columbus, Ohio, United States
I had the pleasure of attending Case Western Reserve University for my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. After that I worked in the SICU, Burn and Trauma Unit at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, but knew I wanted to further my career. I ended up going back to school at the University of Akron for my Masters of Science in Nursing with a focus in Nurse Anesthesia. After working in the operating room as a CRNA at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center I then wanted to further pursue my passion for teaching and education so went back to school and got my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2015 from The Ohio State University. I have been an educator for the Otterbein University-OhioHealth Grant Nurse Anesthesia Program since 2013 and took over as Assistant Program Director in 2024. While I love my educational role, taking care of patients is a true honor and love of mine. I still continue to practice clinically as a CRNA at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center with a focus in neuro anesthesia and liver transplantation. I am also the department of Anesthesiology Advanced Practice Provider Lead Educator. When I am not at work I have my favorite role of being a wife, and a Mom, to two amazing little kiddos ages 3 and 5.
