Nursing Professional Development Practitioner
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
Columbus, Ohio, United States
Nursing is a second career for Marci. She has worked in the operating room for fourteen years, including over eight years as a perioperative educator. Marci found great satisfaction in precepting orientees and collaborating with nursing and medical students. This passion inspired her to pursue a master's degree in nursing education from Western Govenor's University. Marci believes that being a reliable resource for others is essential in building trusting relationships and being approachable. Her guiding principle is an open-door policy, where she encourages questions and assures that no question is a dumb question. If Marci doesn't have the answer, she will make an effort to find it. Creating a supportive and welcoming environment is a priority for Marci, especially in a health system as big as The Ohio State University Medical Center.
