Lillian H. Nicolette, MSN, RN, CNOR, FAORN is an accomplished perioperative healthcare leader and consultant with more than 35 years of experience across perioperative education, practice and leadership, healthcare operations, and the medical device industry. Her diverse background spans consulting, executive leadership, education, business development, and strategic initiatives, consistently achieving measurable improvements in clinical and operational performance.
Building on an extensive perioperative foundation, Nicolette specializes in surgical efficiency, sterile processing, infection prevention, and complex specialty services including cardiac, neurosurgical, opthalmology and orthopedic surgery. She provides consulting and comprehensive educational programming throughout the United States and internationally, and is a frequent presenter on perioperative practice, sterilization, disinfection, and healthcare economics.
Nicolette’s leadership extends through her service as President and Board Member of local AORN chapters, participation on national AORN committees and task forces, and her role as faculty and preceptor mentoring graduate and extension students in perioperative nursing. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the National Honor Society of Nursing, and maintains multiple state nursing licenses. She is also a Past-President and Board member of CCI.
Her contributions include authoring and co-authoring perioperative texts, publishing in professional journals, and presenting nationally and internationally. She has been recognized with the Jerry G. Peers Distinguished Service Award, the AORN Outstanding Achievement Award in Perioperative Clinical Education, and multiple industry honors from the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies and other medical device leaders. Nicolette also supports diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and women’s leadership programs, reflecting her enduring commitment to mentorship and professional excellence.
