Becky McKenzie is the Enterprise AVP for Perioperative & Procedural Services at UK HealthCare. Prior to this role, McKenzie served as the AVP for Perioperative Services at Duke University. She has nearly 40 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, serving as Administrative Director Perioperative Services, Clinical Operations Director, and various Nursing Director and Manager roles. McKenzie has also held faculty appointments at Duke University School of Nursing and Wake Forest College of Medicine. In 2023 McKenzie was the recipient of the Masters in Nursing Faculty Excellence Teaching Award at Duke University School of Nursing. McKenzie completed her Masters in Nursing at Duke University in 1994, Masters in Business Administration at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill in 2001, and Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Duke University in 2016. McKenzie has extensive experience with healthcare construction projects, and has served as a consultant for healthcare construction projects, and integration of innovative technologies.
She is a member of AORN and AONL.
