A former surgical tech turned RN with a BSN, Krystyna now thrives as a Surgical Services Educator who still enjoys scrubbing in and circulating in the OR. With a passion for hands-on learning and process improvement, she has introduced realistic mock codes that enhance staff engagement and boost emergency readiness.
From updating code cart checklists and MH carts to revamping competencies, Krystyna blends frontline experience with strategic insight. Most recently, her team was awarded the AORN Center of Excellence for RSI (Retained Surgical Items), making AdventHealth Wesley Chapel the second facility in the nation to earn this prestigious recognition.
Currently, she is leading the way in CNOR excellence by bringing a comprehensive CNOR Prep Course to the facility, creating an in-person learning environment that equips staff with the knowledge and confidence to succeed. Energetic, innovative, and always up for a challenge, Krystyna brings both skill and heart to the surgical services team!
