Been working as Perioperative Nurse for about 30 years since graduating with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in home country, the Philippines at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila). Work experience include the Philippine General Hospital, Morriston Hospital in Wales, Pembury, The Royal Kent and Sussex in UK before settling at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, with now 21 years of service this year. Some of the highlights of my career include being the Recipient of the AJ Sally Award in 2013, the hospital’s Best Perioperative Nurse Awardee in 2015 and traveling to Johannesburg, South Africa to help mentor and train their nursing team on their pediatric OR skills on a newly built quaternary and state of the art facility, The Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital in 2018.
Serves as the Unit Educator who works with the Perioperative Clinical Educator to help support learning needs of our areas.
