Dr. Ken Wofford is an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing, where he teaching basic sciences and DNP Project courses. Dr. Wofford is an alumnus of Jacksonville University, Georgetown, and Duke. Prior to joining USF, Dr. Wofford served in the US Navy for 26 years, joining as a Hospitalman and retiring as a Commander. During his time in the Navy he served as a Hospital Corpsman, Preventive Medicine Technician, Med-Surg nurse, ICU nurse, staff nurse anesthetist, and nurse scientist, and was one of the first Navy Nurses to complete the Diploma of Mountain Medicine. During his career he served at several stateside hospitals, overseas in Guam, Okinawa, and Korea, and with the Fleet Marine Forces in Iraq as a Trauma Team Leader. His final tour was as the Anesthesia Research and Evidence-Based Practice Coordinator at the Daniel K. Inouye Graduate School of Nursing at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, in Bethesda, MD.
