Perioperative Patient Care Director
NEW YORK PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL WEILL CORNELL
Lucille began her career at NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center in 1998 as a staff nurse in the Operating Room. During her tenure, she balanced her professional responsibilities with personal milestones—getting married, raising three children, enjoying outdoor activities like camping, and attending her children’s sports events. She also earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Leadership.
After a decade of dedicated service, Lucille made the decision to leave NYP to work closer to home for the benefit of her family. In 2019, she returned to NYP, stepping back into the role of Perioperative Clinical Nurse Manager. In this capacity, she has played a key role in enhancing practices and optimizing workflows within the OR. Lucille has continued to develop professionally and now currently holds the Patient Care Director poisition for the ambulatory Operating rooms at NYP.
Over the past five years, Lucille has actively contributed to several performance improvement initiatives, including the Neuro CUSP program, the Neuro OR operational committee, the Surgical Site Infection (SSI) Committee, the OR Readiness Project, and the Neurosurgery Interdisciplinary Committee. Her leadership is marked by a strong commitment to fostering a collaborative perioperative team environment, driving positive patient outcomes, and enhancing employee satisfaction.
