Charles is a highly dedicated and accomplished Surgical Infection Preventionist at AdventHealth Celebration, a prestigious 357 bed acute care hospital situated just outside Walt Disney World. Charles plays a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of patients in the surgical and procedural areas of this rapidly growing hospital. Prior to his role as a Surgical Infection Preventionist, Charles served as a Critical Care RN. Previous to nursing, Charles served as a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. Charles holds a Masters of Science in Nursing degree with a leadership focus. Charles holds a Certification in Infection Control (CIC) which is issued by the Certification Board of Infection Control & Epidemiology (CBIC) as well is a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) which is issued by Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).Recognized for his unwavering dedication to patient safety, Charles recently received the prestigious, regional, "Keep Me Safe Award". This accolade acknowledges his exceptional commitment to implementing effective infection control practices and ensuring the highest standards of safety in the operating room. As a Surgical Infection Preventionist, Charles remains at the forefront of patient safety, working tirelessly to mitigate the risk of infections and promote a culture of excellence in the operating rooms, sterile processing department and procedural areas.
