Cara has over 15 years of nursing experience. Her career started at a military clinic in Schweinfurt, Germany as an urgent care RN. She has also worked on an orthopedic unit in Central Florida as a floor nurse, charge nurse, and preceptor for more than 10 years. In this time, Cara became a published co-author for her work in standardizing orthopedic patient education prior to discharge. Cara was also able to attend several conferences as a poster presenter of this work. During COVID, Cara shifted to middle level management to help clinically and non-clinically with the nursing education and patient quality care. Cara is now working at Advent Health Celebration as an orthopedic clinical coordinator. During her time, Cara has worked on several process improvements to improve metrics, enhance interdepartmental communication, and provide best practice care. She has presented podium presentations at DNV Symposium 2024 and a poster presentation at NOAN Congress 2025. Orthopedics and evidence-based practice is her passion, and she cannot wait to share her successes and learnings with you.
