My name is Jody Garich, MSN RN CNOR and I am the Professional Development Specialist (Clinical Nurse Educator) for Surgical Services at AHN Saint Vincent Hospital. I have been employed at SVH for almost 30 years. I obtained my Diploma of Nursing in 1996 from the Saint Vincent School of Nursing and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mercyhurst University in 2015. I received my MSN-Education from California University in 2018. I received my CNOR in 2005. I cover orientation, education and training for the OR, CVOR, PACU/ORDA, Short Stay Unit, Endoscopy Unit and Urology Clinic. I was named Clinical Educator of the Year for Nursing Excellence at Saint Vincent Hospital in 2015 and won the prestigious Nightingale Award of Pennsylvania in 2014. I serve on numerous councils and committees including mentoring the QI (Quality Improvement) Council at Saint Vincent Hospital. I currently serve as the President of Northwest PA Local AORN Chapter.
