Overview/Abstract: I believe that work is an opportunity to create impact for our families, our customers, our colleagues, our communities, and even our respective industries. Prior to becoming an author and global keynote speaker, I led world-class sales teams by day, and performed for piano-bar patrons by night. I was living the dream. Then, my worst nightmare: A vocal cord injury that stole my voice, silenced two careers, and sent me into the operating room—15 times. I’m ok now, btw. Along the way (around the 4th surgical procedure) I realized I wasn’t battling to regain my voice and rejoin the ranks of corporate America. I was fighting to sing again. As I regained and re-trained my voice, I realized so many of our struggles and problems (in and out of work) relate to the quality of the experiences we have, and create, each day. Today, I help individuals understand and unleash the power of moments; which add up to experiences. I teach them how to design and deliver experiences that others—their customers, colleagues, and communities—want to have again and again.
