Description: Due to a spike in specimen errors in our organization system wide, a specimen committee was created. This committee helps track how many errors we have and goals to reduce system wide. We have developed a specimen runner and have data that has been tracked to showcase the importance of having someone visually see each specimen in real time prior to the specimen ever leaving the OR. This runner has cut down our specimen errors. We have data of 2024 specimen errors and are comparing to 2025 specimen data to determine efficacy of this implementation.
