Mel has worked in the perioperative setting for more than 25 years. She has dedicated her time and talents to ensuring all team members feel part of the team. She started in the OR as a Surgical Technologist, became an RN and circulated, taught Surgical Technology, and moved into Clinical Education in the perioperative setting, moving into managing a regional team of educators for the past 3 years. She continues to support her local AORN Chapter, and system wide Periop Education team.
