Valentina Briceno is the Assistant Director of Perioperative Quality & Regulatory at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX. With nearly 20 years of experience in the perioperative environment, she began her surgical career in Caracas, Venezuela. During her early tenure at Texas Children’s, she developed a strong interest in process improvement and quality projects, contributing to the development of a baclofen pump infection prevention protocol for the neurosurgery division. Currently, she takes pride in leading the Children's Surgery Verification Quality Improvement Program and contributing to projects aimed at enhancing surgical care for the children of Texas.
