Danielle M. Lion, DNP, CRNA, APN-A is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, a Level I trauma center serving a high-acuity and diverse surgical population. Her clinical focus includes trauma and hepatobiliary anesthesia, and she is honored to serve as the sole CRNA on the hospital’s liver transplant team.
Dr. Lion earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia from Rutgers University and serves as an adjunct faculty member at multiple nurse anesthesia programs. At University Hospital, she serves as the Nurse Anesthesia Resident Clinical Coordinator, managing clinical rotations and guiding the training experiences of student registered nurse anesthetists. In this role, she focuses on developing clinical judgment, advanced airway management skills, and the ability to manage rapid physiologic changes in patients during complex perioperative care.
