Michael Rempel, DNP, RN, CNOR, earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2006 and then a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009. In 2013 he completed a Master’s degree in Nursing Education followed by doctoral work to earn the degree of Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2020. He is currently the Director of Special Projects and formerly the Pediatric Trauma Program Manager and the Educational Specialist with University Hospital in Newark, NJ. He is also a Part-Time Lecturer with Rutgers University School of Nursing. His work has helped establish university wide standards of patient care including effectively implementing an ERAS ® pathway. He was also recently recognized by NORAD and the Department of Defense for his support, education, implementation and service during the height of the pandemic.
