Ivelisse Vicente, RN, MS, CNOR, NEA-BC, RNFA known as “Ive” has worked at Strong Memorial Hospital for 28 years. Originally from Puerto Rico, she brings a diverse perspective to her current role as Assistant Director of Nursing for Perioperative Ambulatory Surgery at the University of Rochester in Rochester NY. In her role, she oversees three ambulatory surgical centers and the Center for Perioperative Medicine. Beyond the healthcare realm, Ivelisse finds joy in engaging in DIY projects, hiking adventures, surgical missions and treasuring moments with family and friends.
Fun Fact: The craziest thing I ever did was start and IV and chest compressions in an airplane on the way to an AORN expo.
