Over the course of her Perioperative Nursing career, which began in 2005, Cassie Scott has gained invaluable experience working in Australia, Ireland, the UK, and New Zealand. Currently based in Brisbane, Australia, she serves as a Clinical Nurse Consultant – Surgical Clinical Reviewer for the ACS National Surgical Quality Improvement Program.
A passionate advocate for perioperative quality improvement and patient safety, Cassie works tirelessly to enhance surgical outcomes and improve care standards. She is deeply committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, where both patient safety and staff wellbeing are top priorities. Her leadership approach emphasizes the importance of supporting and retaining a skilled nursing workforce, ensuring the best possible environment for both patients and staff.
Outside her clinical role, Cassie is an active member of the AORN Global Relations Committee, where she collaborates with colleagues from around the world to share insights and develop best practices in perioperative care. She currently serves as AORN Global Relations Committee Chair for 2025-2026 term.
