Marci D. Kling, MSN, RN, CNOR, is the Perioperative Nurse Educator at Emerson Health in Concord, Massachusetts. Marci received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the State University of New York Binghamton and Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Education from Framingham State University. Marci has over 20 years of Operating Room nursing experience in Boston hospitals and six years of experience as a Perioperative Nurse Educator including OR, Endoscopy, and Central Sterile Processing departments. Marci has successfully supported many cohorts through the AORN Periop 101™ Program as an Administrator. As a Facility Coordinator, Marci led Emerson Health in receiving the AORN Go Clear™ Award and the AORN Prevention of RSI™ Award. Marci was a presenter at the AORN 2nd Annual Nursing Research Symposium 2025 on "Our Journey to A Center of Excellence in Surgical Safety: Smoke Evacuation" and was honored to record a Podcast with AORN Periop Talk™ “How to Go Smoke-Free in Your OR: Insights from Emerson Health.” Marci is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the AORN Boston, MA Chapter 2201. Marci greatly enjoys developing perioperative nurses and watching them grow from novice to expert, and collaborating on engaging, interactive training experiences for all staff.
