Registered Nurse
Hunt Regional
Rebecca Hagen, RN, BSN, is a perioperative nurse with eight years of operating room experience and specialized expertise in orthopedic surgery and total joint procedures. She currently practices at Hunt Regional Medical Center, where she contributes to advancing safety and excellence in orthopedic surgery. Rebecca’s OR career began in the military, where she gained diverse experience across multiple military hospitals in high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environments. She then continued her perioperative work at Parkland Health, further strengthening her skills in complex surgical care. Before becoming an RN, she spent five years as a skilled scrub tech, establishing a strong technical foundation in sterile technique, instrumentation, and surgical workflows—experience that now enhances her nursing practice. With a focused background in total joint arthroplasty, Rebecca has developed particular knowledge in the recognition and management of Bone Cement Implantation Syndrome (BCIS). She is passionate about education, interdisciplinary teamwork, and evidence-based practice. Rebecca is honored to present her team’s work on BCIS at AORN.
