Tina Moore, has 29+ years of experience in the Operating Room. Her work experience ranges from surgery centers to level 1 trauma centers. Tina has served in the roles of preceptor, mentor, charge nurse, clinical coordinator, and clinical educator in the hospital and ambulatory care settings and has held active roles in Shared Governance. She has been a Pathway to Excellence and Magnet ambassador, served as Chair of Education Council, and been on a number of process improvement committees. She is credentialed as an Error Prevention trainer, a TeamSTEPPS instructor, and is also a credentialed trainer for two Epic applications. She is also a committee member on the Clinical Nurse Development Program for the University of Maryland Medical System, and a member of the Community College of Baltimore County Surgical Technology Program Advisory Board.
She currently works as a nurse educator supporting the organization's procedural areas. She creates a positive onboarding experience for orientees and interns, as well as creates a safe, evidence-based practice environment for staff and patients. She is passionate about safety, patient advocacy and improving the culture in the departments that she supports.
She is also an active member of the Chesapeake Bay Perioperative Consortium acting as Co-chair and Treasurer for the organization. She also serves on the curriculum committee and teaches courses for the group.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Her BSN is from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She obtained her MSN in Leadership with a concentration in education from Wilmington University.
She has maintained her CNOR for more than 26 years and obtained her Certificate of Mastery as a Surgical Services Educator and a Certificate in Patient Safety.
She is a member of AORN and Sigma Theta Tau.
