Krystyna Howard began her nursing career in the high-intensity environment of the cardiothoracic operating room, where she quickly developed expertise in both scrubbing and circulating complex surgical procedures at Cleveland Clinic. Her passion patient care led her to specialize in pediatric congenital heart surgery, deepening her clinical skills and broadening her understanding of specialized surgical populations.
Over the past ten years at the Cleveland Clinic, Krystyna has become a respected perioperative nurse known for her commitment to fostering a collaborative team approach. Her love for teaching and mentoring new nurses naturally evolved into her current role as Perioperative Educational Program Coordinator for the Heart, Thoracic, and Vascular operating rooms. In this position, she combines her clinical experience with her passion for education, developing and leading programs that empower nurses to grow in confidence, competence, and critical thinking.
