Kimberly graduated from University of Maryland School of Nursing in 1990 and started as a new graduate at Johns Hopkins Hospital Children's Center's Pediatric ICU. There she cared for critically ill patients, including trauma and burn patients, medical and surgical patients including cardiac and neurosurgical, among others.
After 22 years in the PICU, Kimberly transitioned to the Pediatric Peri-Anesthesia Care Unit in 2012 and was promoted to her current position of Lead Clinical Nurse in 2014. She focuses her leadership skills to build a strong PACU team, as well as collaborates with the Peds Perioperative multidisciplinary teams to improve workflows and relationships. She is currently leading the Peds PACU Safety team.
