Dr. Gast is a reconstructive plastic surgeon She completed her residency at University of Michigan Health System, Ann Arbor, MI and a fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery in Ghent, Belgium. She is the surgeon co-chair for the University of Wisconsin Hospital's Green OR Council and has headed several cost saving and sustainability initiatives that has not only reduced waste and diverted plastic from the local landfills but has also saved both the organization and patients money.
