Melissa is a Clinical Nurse Specialist with over a decade of experience in perioperative nursing. She serves as a system Perioperative Professional Development Specialist for MedStar health- a not-for-profit healthcare system that serves communities throughout DC and Maryland. Melissa focuses on the development of the nursing workforce in the perioperative environment including new to practice and new to specialty nurses, surgical technologists, and all other members of the perioperative team.
