Simone Payne serves as the Assistant Nursing Director of the Electrophysiology Lab at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. In this role, she oversees daily operations and works closely with physicians and senior leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care for patients with cardiac arrhythmias across Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
Simone brings extensive clinical experience to her leadership role, having previously worked as an electrophysiology and intensive care nurse. Her dedication to excellence has been recognized with the MedStar Patients First Award and the MedStar SPIRIT Shout Out Award.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hampton University and a Master of Science in Administration, in Public and Community Health, from Trinity Washington University. Simone is a Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML), a published author in EP Digest, and a committed advocate for advancing nursing practice and patient care.
