Nursing Professional Development
Medstar Washington Hospital Center
I am a Clinical Nurse Educator specializing in Cardiac Procedural units at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Clinical Nurse Instructor at The Catholic University of America, where I am also currently pursuing my MSN in Complex Healthcare Systems Administration. With over 17 years of critical care experience, I have worked in intensive care units at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Stanford Health Care, Cedars-Sinai, and other leading healthcare institutions across the country. My experience also includes serving as a Clinical Specialist at NeurOptics, focusing on neurology applications.
My clinical foundation was established during an 11-year tenure at WakeMed, where I advanced through roles in Medical and Cardiovascular ICUs while developing expertise in nursing education and research. I am a DAISY Award recipient, recognizing my commitment to exceptional patient care and nursing excellence.
I am deeply passionate about nursing and dedicated to advancing the profession through evidence-based education, mentoring the next generation of perioperative and critical care professionals, and promoting excellence in cardiac procedural care.
