I am currently a perioperative system professional practice nurse lead RN at MHealth Fairview. Many of my current projects are centered around operating room nurse orientation, precepting, and nurse retention. I have worked in the operating room setting for 6 years.
I have been a member of the clinical nursing practice committee for the Association of periOperative Nurses (AORN) since 2023 with projects including creating a second victims and a root cause analysis toolkit for the AORN website. Posters of this work were presented at the 2024 and 2025 AORN Global Expo.
I am a University of South Dakota graduate with a Bachelor's of science degree in nursing. I also have Bachelor's degrees in social work and psychology with a minor in addiction studies. I recently obtained my Master of Science in Nursing degree with an emphasis on nurse education.
