David Hoang is a CNOR-certified RN with experience on medical-surgical/telemetry units and in a level 1 trauma center operating room. Currently, he works as an Informatics Nurse Specialist for Harris Health, specifically covering Perioperative Services. In his position, he works at the unique intersection of healthcare and information technology, leveraging his clinical, technological, and data science experience to help improve the quality and safety of our patient care delivery.
In his previous roles, he served as the clinical resource nurse/educator for a level 1 trauma center operating room, facilitating orientation and unit-based education/in-services to our oncoming clinical staff ranging from anesthesia technicians and nursing attendants to graduate resident and fellow staff nurses. He also served as the urology service-line coordinator for the operating room, working with the urology surgical team facilitating cases, educating staff nurses and surgical residents, and managing the OR surgical instrumentation/supply inventories.
