Madelaine Catcho BSN, RN, is an emerging perioperative nurse from New York, where she circulates and scrubs across multiple surgical specialties in a level-one trauma setting. She is an active preceptor and contributor to departmental and hospital initiatives, a member of her hospital’s Nursing Science Council, and is a Board of Director of AORN’s NYC Chapter 3304. At one and a half years, Catcho initiated a perioperative Sharps Injury Reduction Project to advocate and protect healthcare workers while alleviating the knowledge deficit on what to do after experiencing a sharps injury. Catcho has a passion for learning, making connections, and providing compassionate and skilled care, as well as uplifting others’ growth and success.
