Clinical Nurse Specialist

I have been a nurse for 27 years and a perioperative nurse for 22 years. I have had the opportunity to serve as a staff nurse, nurse educator, assistant nurse manager, and system clinical nurse specialist for UCLA perioperative. As a perioperative clinical nurse specialist, I focus on three areas of influence: patient and family, nurses and nursing practice, and the health system. In this role, I am working to advance nursing practice within the system and across the local, national, and international communities. My goal is to promote perioperative nursing practice processes through presentations and publications.
