Angela Howell serves as an active duty Army Nurse with extensive leadership experience in perioperative nursing services at multiple Army hospitals, including the prestigious Walter Reed Military Medical Center. As the director for Perioperative Nursing Services, has managed complex surgical nursing operations and maintaining the highest standards of patient care in demanding military healthcare environments.
Earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Towson University, building a strong foundation in clinical nursing practice. Driven to advance nursing through technology, completed a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Nursing Informatics at the University of Maryland. Further enhanced expertise and leadership skills by earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Bellarmine University, gaining advanced capabilities in clinical practice, healthcare systems, and evidence-based leadership.
As a perioperative nurse, blended clinical excellence, strategic leadership, and a commitment to innovation in military nursing and actively contributes to the readiness and health of service members and their families.
