Alicia Ramirez, Ph.D., RN, CNS, CCRN-K, has been an adjunct faculty member at Texas Woman's University (TWU) in Houston since 2011. In Fall 2024, she assumed the position of assistant professor in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at TWU-Houston. She has taught fundamentals of nursing and capstone didactic courses. Additionally, she has served as a clinical and lab instructor. In Spring 2025, she accepted the position of BSN program clinical placement advisor. This role has allowed her to collaborate with all course managers and students at all levels in the BSN nursing program, fostering unity among all faculty teaching in the BSN program on the TWU-Houston campus. Her fundamental research interests include advancing front-line nursing care through participation in interprofessional education (IPE), teaching perioperative core competencies, implementing evidence-based research to address failure-to-rescue initiatives, and mentoring students, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide individualized nursing care.
