Nickcole Price, MSN, RN, CPAN, CAPA, is the Perioperative Nursing Professional Development Specialist at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center. In this role, she leads educational initiatives for Perianesthesia, Perioperative, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing (SPD) staff, supporting clinical excellence and fostering professional growth across these specialized areas. With more than 30 years of nursing experience, Nickcole is a passionate advocate for lifelong learning and leadership development within the nursing profession.
She has been a dedicated member of the American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) since 2004 and joined the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) in 2020. Her contributions at both local and national levels include mentorship, recruitment of new nurses into Perioperative, Perianesthesia, and Endoscopy specialties, and advancing nursing practice through education, collaboration, and advocacy.
