Clinical Curriculum and Practice Specialist

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, I have been a Registered Nurse for 15 years, with most of my career rooted in the perioperative setting and quality improvement. My time in the operating room and managing a surgical service specialty in a pediatric operating room sparked a passion for education and mentoring new nurses, ultimately leading me into a formal educator role.
As an OR educator, I redesigned educational approaches, developed a custom education app, and transitioned orientation documentation to a digital format within the local Operating Room for which I supported. This work fueled my commitment to improving the learning experience, which led to my involvement in a system-wide perioperative onboarding initiative. I now serve as a Clinical Curriculum and Practice Specialist, where I continue to support advancement of perioperative nurse education across a hospital healthcare system.
