Nursing Professional Development Practitioner, OR

I started my nursing career in pediatric intensive home care, then moved to the OR in 2016 at Seattle Children's Hospital where I gained experience in all pediatric OR specialties. I joined the ortho/spine team and helped in the CVOR, then took an interim position as ortho/spine lead for 6 months before starting my position in Nursing Professional Development officially in January 2023. While working in the OR I also completed a 1 year fellowship in Nursing Professional Development. It has been fun to be a part of quality improvement projects, helping with new processes in my facility, and running the Periop 101 program for our OR.
