Melissa Esterly brings 18 years of perioperative nursing experience to her role as Clinical Nurse Educator for the Operating Room at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She has served as the unit’s educator for the past three years, leading efforts in onboarding, staff development, and continuing education within surgical services.
Melissa earned her BSN from Widener University and her MSN from Immaculata University. She holds CNOR certification and is known for her practical teaching style, focus on teamwork, and dedication to preparing nurses for the fast-paced demands of perioperative care. She also contributed to the development of a surgical technologist training program in collaboration with other entities across the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
