Sherri Crumley has been a registered nurse for 13 years. She has spent her entire nursing career in perioperative and procedural spaces with time spent in both in-patient and outpatient surgical settings. The last 9 years of her practice have been devoted to nursing leadership roles serving previously as a Surgical Team Leader, Clinical Nurse Educator, and most recently as a Nurse Manager.
Dr. Crumley received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Loyola University Chicago where she focused her doctoral work on the perioperative nurse’s role in driving improvement to surgical key performance indicators. Most recently, she has published her work focusing on the perioperative nurses’ involvement as a driver of improving operating room efficiency outcomes.
Dr. Crumley is board-certified in Nursing Executive Practice, a Certified Surgical Services Manager, and is also a Certified Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. She serves as a board member for Triton College’s Surgical Technology Program and is also a member of the Illinois Nursing Foundation’s 40 under 40 Emerging Nurse Leader Steering Committee.
