Sienna Tango is an OR nurse w/ master’s degree in nursing (MNS), specialized in Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL). She started her OR nursing career early 2000 in San Antonio, TX, where she honed her Robotic surgical skills in various services, as well as her orthopedic, vascular and neuro surgeries. At St Luke’s Baptist Hospital, San Antonio, TX, she worked as OR circulator and was offered a position of charge nurse after she completed her MSN degree. Her role as such revolved around the administrative side due to the demand of management tasks of the unit at that time. When she got married & about to built her own family, she moved close to her family at The Woodlands, TX & landed a job at the Memorial Hermann, The Woodlands, TX. There she gained expertise in a level 1 trauma surgery, as well as got to experience first-hand shared governance model & Magnet culture. She moved to California in 2015 & worked at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, CA, a teaching facility that also practiced Shared governance. Her career focused on circulating various oncologic cases, Robotic surgeries for different services, ENT & Plastics. She was also given the opportunity to practice her leadership skills by being part & leading councils under the facility’s shared governance, where she championed & assisted in facilitating couple unit projects. Due to the higher demands of her growing family, she had to leave Stanford & moved to a facility that provided her more time with her family. She took a job at Kaiser Permanente Fremont Medical Center in Fremont, CA. She had been working at the facility as OR circulator & gyn surgery service lead for the unit. She is also a part of the Shared governance Council of the facility.
