Parisa McDonough (RN, BSN, CNOR) began her journey at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn, IL, in 1998 as a surgical technologist in orthopedics and later became a surgical nurse and team lead for peripheral vascular surgery in 2006. She also worked as a clinical product specialist and system surgery project lead at Advocate Corporate Supply Chain in 2012 with best products and technology for delivery of care to the surgical patient. Parisa then found her way back home to Advocate Christ Medical Center in 2016, working in perioperative improvement initiatives for surgical safety and efficiencies. Her role transformed in 2018 to surgery clinical excellence and quality improvement coordinator, specializing in enhanced recovery and improving adverse outcomes. Parisa has the fortunate journey to work with great clinical minds of the perioperative and nursing teams, inclusive of nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists and surgery executive leadership lighting the way to align best practices and improve quality in the surgical space. She has a passion for the best possible delivery of care to the surgical patient in all aspects to improve their lives and creating a positive and cohesive culture in all endeavors with clinicians.
